We recommend that you arrive 15 minutes before the ceremony commences.
Expect more information on the locations and timings to follow closer to the date.
Ceremony: Panagia Faneromeni Church has a free parking lot and there is sufficient street parking near the church.
Reception: Island Club & Restaurant has a designated parking area. Valet parking service will be provided.
The ceremony will take place indoors. However, if guests wish to sit outdoors refreshments will be provided due to the hot weather.
The reception will be hosted outdoors on a grassy lawn. Ladies are kindly advised to choose their footwear accordingly.
Both locations are wheelchair accessible, but please let our wedding coordinating team know in advance if you require any further assistance.

If you are spending the full week in Athens, you might want to stay in the City Center, whereas if you are only visiting Greece for the wedding, staying in the South might be more convenient to be closer to the wedding venues. Please refer to the Hotel Accommodation section for more information on the recommended hotels. Please do not hesitate to contact our wedding team at info@theglaamevents.com, who will be happy to assist with booking your hotels.
Summer weather in Athens is usually sunny and hot, with temperatures averaging from 30°C (86F) in the morning to 20°C (68F) at night. For the reception women would be nice to have a stole and men a lightweight jacket.
The dress code for our summer wedding is Elegant Island Chic and our ceremony will be held indoors, whereas our wedding reception outdoors. For this time of the year, may we suggest the following attire: men wear a lightweight suit in any color (tie optional) and women wear a cocktail, or floor length dress, or dressy separates. Please note that the venue does not permit denim, shorts, or sneakers.
In case of a dietary restriction or allergy please let our wedding coordinating team beforehand at: info@theglaamevents.com

10% is pretty standard. We recommend 15% at the nicer restaurants, given that their service is usually better. If you go to a café or bar, 5-10% is good.
You will love the coffee in Greece!!! Try a Freddo Espresso or Freddo Cappuccino (they will offer it with no sugar, medium, or sweet) for a cold coffee. If you like hot coffee, Greek coffee (also known as Turkish coffee) is fantastic. If you do not love the flavor of coffee or prefer sweet ones, we recommend a Frappé, which is NOT the Starbucks drink. Seriously, we have the best coffee here!
Korres is an awesome brand that has made its way to the U.S. You can find their skincare, sunscreen, soaps, After Sun, and more at basically any pharmacy in Greece.

Bring a phone charger (with an E.U. adapter); We suggest the Tumi adapter if you’re getting one from the U.S., because it has 4 USB slots and one normal plug-in.
Be sure your passports are up to date. Send a photo of your passport to your email, that way if an emergency occurs and you lose your passport, you have something to show the embassy.
Inform your bank that you are traveling abroad. If you don’t, you run the risk that they freeze your card as a part of standard protection against fraud.
